4 Powerful Ways to Connect

Standard

When you think of the word connection what comes to mind? Family, friends, your pets, Mother Nature, heart, mind, body, soul…Any of these are great places to start.

The key to connection is to allow it to come from source. This source is within you and will remain within you for eternity. Paying careful attention to who or what we are connected to and how that makes us feel creates a sense of belonging.

Here are four ways to connect more:

1. Connect with yourself daily. Make it a goal to center yourself everyday and understand your purpose and your place in this world.  Find a quiet space and just breath and visualize all the good in your life.  The more connected we are with ourselves the more we will have to offer others.

2. Ground yourself daily. I have found this technique to be extremely helpful in my own life. Take a few moments to place your feet on the earth, breathe in and set the intention to connect with the earth. You will instantly feel energized.

3. Help someone in need. This is such a powerful tool. When you connect with someone who is in need you realize how truly intertwined we all are. We all have the same emotions; we all suffer at one point of another, so creating that intention to show compassion for others will cultivate a sense of purpose and love for all.

4. Play with your pets or volunteer at an animal shelter. Besides babies animals are pure in spirit, just being around my pup recharges me and helps me see how simplistic and light life can really be. He teaches me that although we have no verbal communication we have a universal connection, which is pure, unconditional love.
